Download and Licensing Instructions for App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow™

Below are instructions for obtaining the App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow™ installer and license key file, and the instructions for adding a license key file to App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow.

About the Flexera Software Product and License Center

Your license and supporting documentation files are available from the Flexera Software Product and License Center, which is accessible from the Flexera Software Customer Community by clicking the Downloads tab. Your order confirmation email has instructions describing how to create a customer community user account that you can use to access the Flexera Software Product and License Center.

If you do not have a recent order confirmation and/or do not have access to the Flexera Software Customer Community or Flexera Software Product and License Center, please follow the instructions below to obtain access:

  • Request Access to the Flexera Software Customer Community: Click here to request access to the Flexera Software Customer Community.
  • Request Access to the Flexera Software Product and License Center:
    1. Log into the Flexera Software Customer Community.
    2. Click the Downloads tab. The Downloads page opens.
    3. Under the list containing App Broker for Service Now and App Portal Enterprise, click the Access Above Products button. You will be prompted to request access to the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
    4. Click the Request Access button. Existing administrators of your customer account will be notified of your request and may approve it at their discretion.
  • Grant Access to the Flexera Software Product and License Center: Customer account administrators can give others access to the Flexera Software Product and License Center by logging into the Flexera Software Customer Community, clicking the Profile menu option, and then clicking Product and License Center User Administration.

To obtain the App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow installer:

  1. Login to the Flexera Software Customer Community, click the Downloads tab, and then click the Access Above Products button below the list containing App Broker for Service Now and App Portal Enterprise. The Flexera Software Product and License Center opens.
  2. Click App Portal or App Broker for ServiceNow in the Your Downloads menu. The Download Packages page opens.
  3. Click the product and version link. You are prompted to accept the EULA Agreement.
  4. Click I agree. The Downloads page opens.
  5. Click the links in the File Name column to download the App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow installer, documentation, and Active X control for Internet Explorer.
  6. Run the downloaded installer on the machine on which you want to use App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow.

To obtain an App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow license key file:

  1. Login to the Flexera Software Customer Community, click the Downloads tab, and then click the Access Above Products button below the list containing App Broker for Service Now and App Portal Enterprise. The Flexera Software Product and License Center opens.
  2. Click List Licenses on the License Management menu (or click List Licenses in the QuickLinks menu). The List Licenses page opens.
  3. Check the box next to the license you want to obtain.
  4. Click View button, and then select either Save To File or Email license.

To add a license key file to App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow:

  1. After installing App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow, launch the application in a web browser by opening http://<sitealias>/esd/.
    The Upload App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow License File page opens:
    Evaluation Expired
  2. Click the Browse button and select a license file. The selected license file name now appears in the text box.
  3. Click the Upload License button. The license file is copied to the following location on the App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow machine:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Flexera Software\App Portal\Web\bin
    After the license file has been successfully uploaded, a Next button is displayed.
  4. Click Next and continue with the steps in "Specifying Deployment Technology Connection Settings" in the App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow Administration Guide.
